BJP has released its first list of 160 candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections. BJP has fielded Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel from Ghatlodiya assembly seat. At the same time, Kantilal Amrutiya has been given ticket from Morbi seat.
The big thing is that cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife has been given ticket from Jamnagar North. At the same time, Hardik Patel will contest from Viramgam seat for the first time. In the first list of BJP, 14 women have got tickets. 69 sitting MLAs have been given tickets. 69 out of 99 have got tickets, that is, tickets for 30 people have been cut. Vijay Rupani used to contest from Rajkot West, Dr. Darshita Shah has got the ticket in his place.
Let us inform that in Gujarat, which has 182 assembly seats, voting is to be held in two phases on 1 and 5 December. The results will come along with Himachal Pradesh on December 8. BJP’s Central Election Committee meeting was held on Wednesday. It was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda. In this meeting, the names of candidates for all the 182 seats in Gujarat were discussed.

BJP announced 160 names out of 182.
Out of these, 84 names belong to the first phase candidates.

It is understood that the BJP may finalize the names of all the 182 candidates during the meeting and release the list in the next few days. Sources said that the party organization is putting all its efforts to create a new record in terms of winning seats in the elections. Sources also said that the party has received suggestions that it should choose fresh and young faces. In the last assembly elections in the state, the BJP had won 99 seats and its main rival Congress 77.
