PM Narendra Modi to lay the foundation stone at Jewar airport today.

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Noida International Airport (NIA) At Gautam Buddha Nagar in Jewar. PM is all set to lay the foundation stone today for the Jewar Airport, sources told. The ceremony will commence at 1 pm as per the updates.

The airport is being developed by the Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL). It is built on a 100 percent subsidiary of the project’s swiss concessionaire Zurich international airport AG. The airport is being developed under the PPP model in close partnership with the government of Uttar Pradesh and the government of India. once it becomes operational, Uttar Pradesh will have five international Airports, the highest of any state in India. with the crucial Uttar Pradesh assembly election scheduled for early next year, the ruling BJP is on an inauguration spree. with the jewar airport, the government is expecting to give a flip to the region’s economy. The UP government has touted the airport to be the logistics gateway for North India. Owing to its scale and capacity, the Noida International Airport will prove to be a game-changer for the state, the government said.

It is among the significant promises made by the Yogi Adityanath-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, which is eyeing a return to power in Uttar Pradesh in next year’s assembly elections. The chief minister announced on Tuesday that it will be completed by 2024 – before the next General Elections are held.
