Delhi Fire Department said bending of buildings and cracks in buildings were reported in Jamia Nagar, Kalkaji and Shahdara areas following the strong tremors. Fire brigade teams have been sent to these areas. After which it will be found out what really happened.
Rumor spread of building leaning in Shakarpur
The news of a four-storey house bending due to the earthquake spread in Shakarpur. People got scared and came out of their homes. The matter was reported to the Delhi Police. There was a stir in the district. Many teams of disaster management, fire brigade and corporation reached the spot. On investigation, the house was not found tilted, after which people heaved a sigh of relief.

According to the German Research Center for Geosciences, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 184 km (114 mi). Here its intensity was recorded at 6.6 on the Richter scale. Apart from India, tremors were also felt in Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan. In India, apart from Delhi-NCR, strong tremors were also felt in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand.
