Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was thrown off the plane at Frankfurt airport in Germany. Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has tweeted asking Mann and Kejriwal to come clean on this. He says that these reports have embarrassed Punjabis across the world.
what is the whole matter
Bhagwant Mann was returning from Germany to Delhi on 17 September. It is being said that during this time he was thrown down from a Lufthansa Airlines plane at Frankfurt Airport. He was drunk, so the airline took such a decision.
According to the Lufthansa website, the plane was scheduled to leave Frankfurt at 1.40 pm on Saturday. It would have landed in Delhi at 12.55 pm, but after this uproar, the plane was delayed by 4 hours at 5.52 pm and landed in Delhi at 4.30 am on Monday.
Passengers said – they were drunk
According to the rest of the passengers of the plane, CM Mann had drunk so much alcohol that he was not able to walk properly. His wife and security personnel were handling him. Because of this, Mann was taken down citing security. His staff tried not to land him, but the flight staff did not want to take any risk. Another passenger says that due to this whole incident, the flight was delayed by four hours. CM Bhagwant Mann is being criticized for this on social media.
AAP said – this news is false, his health was not well
AAP’s Director of Media Communication Chander Suta Dogra had told that the health of the Chief Minister was not well. That is why instead of 17th, he left for Delhi on 18th. On the other hand, AAP has dismissed this entire matter. Navneet Wadhwa, media in-charge of CM’s office said that all these are nonsense. According to the schedule of the Chief Minister’s visit to Germany, he was to stay in Germany till September 18.
Sukhbir Badal said – Mann and Kejriwal should clarify on this issue
Sukhbir Singh Badal said- The information given by the passengers of this plane to the media is disturbing. According to the information, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann was deboarded from Lufthansa flight because he was intoxicated. Due to this the flight was delayed by 4 hours.
In another tweet, he said that the surprising thing is that the Punjab government is silent on these reports. CM Bhagwant Mann and Delhi CM Kejriwal should give clarification on this issue. Government of India should intervene in this matter, because it involves Punjabi and national pride. If Mann was deboarded, the Indian government should talk to the German government about it.
Delhi Congress told shameful
The Delhi Congress also termed Bhagwant Mann’s deportation from the flight as a shameful incident due to excessive intoxication. While sharing the news clipping related to this incident from the official Twitter account of Delhi Congress, it was written that it is a matter of great shame.
