Asad Ahmed, son of Mafia Atiq Ahmed, the main accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, was killed by the UP STF during an encounter in Jhansi. Along with Asad, his accomplice Ghulam has also been killed in the encounter. Both were wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case of Prayagraj and each had a reward of five lakh rupees. During this, the police have recovered state-of-the-art foreign weapons.
