Rajasthan Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has opened a front against his own state government. Pilot has sat on a one-day fast today to protest against the action taken against corruption during the previous Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government. Sachin is fasting in front of the martyr’s memorial in Jaipur.
This fast of Congress leader Sachin Pilot is being considered against Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot. Actually, Pilot had said in a press conference in the past that he has written many letters to the CM for the last two years for action on corruption. He said that many scams took place during the BJP rule and our government was formed because of this, but no action has been taken on it.
Action on corruption
Pilot said that he wanted corruption to end from the state and demanded strict action against it. The Congress leader said that he is fasting today for this demand.
Congress warned the pilot
A day before Sachin’s fast, the Congress had also warned him and said that this fast would be considered as an anti-party activity.
The hunger strike will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of the Congress government.
The BJP has also targeted the Congress on Pilot’s fast. Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and BJP leader Rajendra Rathore said that Sachin Pilot is openly challenging the high command. His day-long fast will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of the Congress government. He said that the Congress has lost its hold across the country.
