Gujarat News: Nine people were killed and around 15 others injured when a sports utility vehicle (SUV) rammed into a luxury bus in Gujarat’s Navsari district in the early hours of Saturday.
It is being told that the condition of many of them remains critical. It happened near Vesma village on National Highway No. 48. It is being told that the bus driver had a heart attack in the moving vehicle. Because of this he lost control of the vehicle and hit the car.
2-2 lakh to the relatives of the deceased – PM Modi
Expressing grief over the road accident in Navsari, Gujarat, PM Narendra Modi said, ‘I am hurt by the death of people in the road accident in Navsari. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. I hope the injured recover soon. The next of kin of those killed in the accident will be given Rs 2 lakh towards PMNRF while the injured will be given Rs 50,000 as ex-gratia.

Home Minister Amit Shah condoled the incident by tweeting. Amit Shah said, ‘The road accident in Gujarat’s Navsari is heart wrenching. My condolences to those who have lost their families in this incident. The local administration is providing immediate treatment to the injured, I pray for their speedy recovery.

Gujarat’s Navsari DSP, VN Patel said- 9 people died and many were injured in a bus-car collision on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway in Navsari. One seriously injured has been referred to Surat.
