The havoc of speed was seen on NH 20 of the district. A speeding truck crushed two farmers. Both the farmers died on the spot in the accident.
The accident took place near Oraina village on NH-20 under Mufassil police station area at 4 am on Friday. A speeding truck ran over 48-year-old farmer Kishori Singh and 45-year-old farmer Rakesh Das. Due to which both of them died on the spot.
Gaurav, the only son of the deceased Kishori Singh, told that like every day his father was going to Nawada after plucking vegetables from the field. That’s why the truck trampled on NH near Mufassil police station. After this incident, the angry villagers brought the bodies of both the deceased to the gate of Sadar Hospital. After that the villagers blocked the road. Due to which the passengers had to face trouble.
Case registered against the accused truck driver
Police was informed about the incident. After a long delay on the information, the SDO and BDO reached Sadar Hospital and pacified the victim’s families by persuading them. After which the jam was removed from the road. An amount of Rs 20,000 has been provided to both the deceased families by the BDO of Nawada Sadar, Anjani Kumar, under the immediate family benefit scheme.
In this case, the family members have lodged an FIR against the truck driver in Mufassil police station. After the complaint, the police has started investigating the matter. Here, there has been uproar in the families of the deceased since the incident. The relatives are in bad condition by crying.
