Pauri News: A case of molestation of a minor girl has come to light in a village under Pauri tehsil. On the complaint of the relatives, the Revenue Police has registered a case. A case has been registered against the accused under SC, ST and POCSO (POCSO). Advance action in the matter will be taken by the regular police. On interrogation of the accused, he has admitted that he has molested the minor. In this regard, the action of handing over the matter to the regular police is also being done by the Revenue Department.

Giving information, Revenue Sub-Inspector Deepak Benjwal said that as soon as the applicant came to us, the application was given by him. Taking appropriate action in this, an FIR has been registered. He said that the accused has been arrested after registering a case on the complaint given by the relatives of the minor. On interrogation of the accused, he has admitted that he has molested the minor. Along with this, an attempt has also been made to intimidate and threaten the girl. With this, advance action in the matter will be taken by the Regular Police.
Case registered against accused
Revenue sub-inspector Deepak Benzwal further said that it has been told by the family that the minor has been molested and intimidated. SC-ST Act and POCSO Act have been imposed against him. We have caught the accused and questioned him. It was accepted by him that he had molested the girl, while the action of this case is being handed over to the regular police by the Revenue Department.
